Have you ever been stranded in the middle of nowhere, pushing your bike for hours because you were out of juice? Well, we experienced that too many times. But this is over.
Running longer is exactly what the Mega 60 offers. Packing 188% as much energy as the original battery in a well contained size, it will lead you to uncharted territories. 100% compatible with the stock controller, it is completely plug & play.
This high-end Sur Ron battery is hand-built in France to perfection. We are using A-grade, top of the line Samsung cells able to steadily deliver huge power output while keeping their capacity for years to come. Cyprien and I have been riding our 60, 72 and 80V packs hard in enduro and in MX competitions. We rode them in the snow by -20°C and in the dust by +40°C, so rest assured they’ll never let you down.
This Sur Ron battery is built into a streamlined, robust stainless-steel case, providing best in-class protection against damages, featuring an integrated handle for easy manipulation and a built-in digital screen for hands-on readings.
Everyone wants to know how far their battery will lead them. It depends on many factors: the type of terrain you ride on, the elevation you’re aiming at climbing, rider’s wheight, etc.
Nevertheless, knowing what you usually do with the stock battery, you can double the range as The Mega 60 brings improvements on two levels:
So if you used to ride 40km with your stock pack, you can safely assume you’ll now be riding around 80km. Will your arms resist that long? Although you’ll feel like the autonomy is never ending, the integrated LCD meter allows you to check the battery’s status in both percentages and volts.
Being compatible with the Sur Ron factory controller doesn’t mean the battery cannot handle more powerful controllers. It will thrive with any high-end, high-power controller (BAC 4000 & 8000, Nucular 24F, Sintech…) and will steadily deliver up to 12kW of power – 220% of the stock bike’s power!
In addition, our batteries all come equipped with a state-of-the-art bluetooth BMS, enabling direct visualisation of battery temperatures or cells voltages on your phone.
The programmable BMS monitors all of the pack’s parameters: from cells voltages to core temperature, we have fine-tuned everything to get the most out of our architecture in a safely manner. The BMS is in charge of safety and will reduce or cut current if required. For instance, it would damage the cells charging at freezing temperatures, so the BMS would prevent it.
We could debate for hours regarding what’s best between 60V and 72V. Long story short, the 60V battery will allow you to drastically increase the autonomy while retaining full compatibility with both the stock bike’s controller and charger.
Moreover, power-lovers aren’t at rest as all of our 60V batteries will be able to provide 220% the peak power of the stock bike with a controller upgrade. How’s that?
On the other hand, although they require specific chargers and controllers, 72V packs allow to deliver even higher power while also boasting an amazing autonomy. A lower voltage battery will need to output more amps to reach the same power as one with a higher voltage. As amperage is what creates heat, at some point you reach the limit over which you’ll be overheating your motor and controller. That’s the very reason why 72V allows for higher power than 60V packs.
That being said, all our batteries are top-notch in terms of power and capacity, so whatever your choice, it will rock you! Regarding autonomy, in Watt-hour, this 60V Mega version is the highest capacity of our lineup.
So, are you a 60V or 72V rider?

I’ve had my MEGA 60V battery for three months now and I’m happy to say it delivers everything that was promised.
First month I used it with stock controller and the range was just amazing. I think I could have done like 100km on single charge.
After one month with stock controller, I upgraded to KO NANO-controller. I’ve been running the bike on 195A and the power is just so good. The range is slightly shortered by all the additional power, but with good throttle control I think you can still do 80km on a single charge.
Built quality is very good. I like the stainless steel case, feels very solid.
Also the guys at MTO are very helpful and have good support, when I had problem installing the battery (100% user error, lol). I have used also other stuff from them, and will use in the future as well.

Fits perfectly , and only about 3cm higher than stock battery. The battery compartment cover is now more in line with the seat, which looks more slick. I can do more then double the range (110km or more), with more then double the power. I’ve set it to 11,5kw. My riding territory is highly expanded, and I don’t have to continuously watch how much battery percentage I have left. The delivery was smooth to the Netherlands. Will definitely order from the brothers again.

The performance is as described – the range is almost doubled. But what’s really amazing is that the 300A BMS allows for breathtaking acceleration! I like the size – the height is not too big, which allows me to carry my spare battery on top. Tested on very rough terrain – I’m convinced. I ordered a second one for my girlfriend.

I only had the chance to ride with my new Mega 60 battery a few times, and mostly on short trips, but I can already share my initial experience.
I received the battery on time, and after unpacking it, I found a quality built, solid product. I inserted it into my Sur Ron (fits perfectly), connected the power cable, but I could not connect the communication cable, as there is no connection for that on the battery. And because of not connecting the communication cable, 2 yellow warning LEDs on the Sur Ron’s dashboard started to continuously blink and I also received a 217 error code (CAN communication error). I am trying to get the information on how to get rid of these error messages.
Nevertheless the motor works fine with the new battery, so I also installed the supplied extension on the battery cover (it looks like a 3D print), but it took me much more than 30 seconds, as I had to modify an Allen key (I had to cut it shorter) to be able to tighten the 2 screws on the extension. Otherwise it fits perfectly and as it is made out of 2 parts, the battery can be taken out from the Surron even with this extension installed (it is important when you want to carry the Surron on the back of the car).
As for the range, my first trip was 39,2 km, with 1778m total ascent. Out of this ~20km was on dirt roads, where I was on almost full throttle, the rest was on single trails with steep climbs. I arrived home with still 23% battery power remaining. So overall I am happy with the battery’s range, which is double compared to the factory battery.
