21″ wheels feature a very low rolling-resistance compared to 19″, thus making all obstacles relatively smaller and disconcertingly easy to pass over. This is my go-to enduro wheel as it helps reduce rider fatigue on difficult terrain, improves the bike’s stability and places our dirt-ebikes on par with the petrol-powered ones.
As a matter of fact, our electric bikes have a lower ground clearance and smaller wheels than gas-bikes. This has a lot of advantages but it makes the bike jerky at speed and it’s a hindrance when we face logs and rocks that are too high to climb, or just smash the bashguard on some obstacles.

Make sure that your fork is compatible with a 21″ front tyre. Most 27.5″ compatible MTB forks (Fox 40, Marzocchi 58, DNM Volcano, Manitou Dorado, Rockshox BoXXer…) will fit a 21″ without problem.
